Yakuza 4 is an action-adventure game set in the fictional district of Kamurocho in Tokyo. You play as four different characters – Kazuma Kiryu, Toshihiro Nagoshi, Shun Akiyama, and Masayoshi Tanimura – each with their own storyline and unique playstyle. The game combines story-driven gameplay with street fights, side activities such as karaoke, darts, arcade games, and mini-quests, and offers an extensive open world to explore.

Three interesting facts

1. Four playable main characters: For the first time in the series, you can play with four characters, which provides varied fighting styles and diverse perspectives on the same Hoegen problem in Kamurocho.

2. Unique fighting styles: Each character has a distinctive fighting style: Kiryu with strength and combos, Akiyama with fast boxing techniques, Tanimura with stealth and sneak attacks, and Saejima with brute force and tear gas weapons.

3. Rich side-activity world: Beyond the main missions, you can participate in full storylines with their own mini-games, such as Akiyama's car lottery, Nagoshi's escort missions, Tanimura's taxi quests, and Kiryu's classic arcade stories—even a full-fledged movie storyline takes place in the Low club!
