  Hour of Victory is a World War II shooter in which you play as three great World War II heroes: Major Ambrose Taggart, Lieutenant William Ross, and Sergeant Calvin Blackbull. At the start of each level, you can choose which character you want to play as, and you can also switch between the three at certain points during missions.

The three characters each offer a different gameplay experience. Major Ambrose Taggart is someone who does everything as quietly and discreetly as possible. He kills his enemies with a knife or a silenced Sten gun. Lieutenant William Ross is a British commando who rushes into action with explosive weapons. Ross uses heavy artillery and goes for a direct assault. Sergeant Calvin Blackbull uses a sniper rifle and eliminates his enemies from a great distance.
