Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation is the sixth installment in the highly action-packed Ace Combat series. This is also the first installment not to be released on a Sony PlayStation, but on the Xbox 360. The ingredients of this installment are no different from those of previous installments. You fly in fast jet fighters including the F-15E Strike Eagle and the F-22 Raptor. You fight alongside your comrades against a common enemy. You always have a machine gun, missiles, and sometimes bombs at your disposal. The action is fast and decidedly over-the-top.

New to this Ace Combat is the long-awaited online mode. You can fight alone or in teams against other pilots worldwide. Your performance is tracked on global online leaderboards. The best players also receive awards.
