Watch Dogs

Product description

Watch Dogs is an open-world action game from Ubisoft in which you play as Aiden Pearce, a talented hacker out for revenge after an attack on his family had tragic consequences. In a modern version of Chicago, Aiden uses his smartphone as a powerful weapon to bend the city to his will.

What makes Watch Dogs unique is its hacking system. Because the city is connected to the central ctOS network, you can manipulate traffic lights, operate bridges, take over security cameras, call the police, and use all kinds of electronic systems to complete missions in creative ways. This allows you to approach situations both stealthily and with brute force.

In addition to the main story, the open world offers numerous activities, including races, gang challenges, collectibles, and crime alerts where you can help citizens. The online features were also innovative at the time. Other players could secretly infiltrate your world to hack you, creating unexpected cat-and-mouse games.

Although the game received a lot of attention upon release for its graphical presentation, it is especially the concept of a hacker as the main character that is praised. The combination of technology, action, and free exploration gives Watch Dogs its own identity within the open-world genre.

For fans of games like GTA, Sleeping Dogs, and Saints Row, Watch Dogs is a strong PS3 title that offers an interesting mix of shooting action, stealth, and digital warfare.
