Jak II is the explosive sequel to Jak and Daxter and shows a completely new, darker side of the series. While the first installment was primarily colorful and playful, Jak II opts for a tougher style with more action, weapons, and an open game world.

The story takes place in Haven City, a large futuristic city where Jak is captured and subjected to Dark Eco experiments. This gives him new, powerful – but dangerous – abilities. For the first time, Jak also speaks, which adds extra depth to the story.

The gameplay combines platforming action with missions in an open city, vehicle sections, and intense battles. Players can move freely through Haven City, take on assignments, and use various weapons. The difficulty level is higher than the first installment, providing an extra challenge.
