BioShock 2 takes place seven years after the events of the first installment. In the 1950s, a utopian city was founded underwater. The city is called Rapture. However, the project failed. The underwater city of Rapture has deteriorated even further in the intervening seven years. Certain parts have flooded, and everything has rotted.

In BioShock 2, you play as the first Big Daddy ever. These Big Daddies were the big enemy in the first BioShock, but in BioShock 2, you play a Big Daddy with a will of his own. You can decide for yourself whether to protect or consume the Little Sisters. Moreover, you can also use special powers again, or the drill attached to the Big Daddy's arm! You will certainly need your weapons, because a Little Sister has grown into a Big Sister. And that lady wants to destroy everything in her path!

In addition to the story of the first Big Daddy ever, BioShock 2 offers players the first opportunity to experience the game in a multiplayer match. The multiplayer components of BioShock 2 take place before the fall of the utopian city of Rapture. Rapture is therefore not yet broken, but looks as the world was once intended when it was founded. In the multiplayer mode of BioShock 2, you fight as a test subject against other players. Through a system of experience points, you can unlock new skills. In BioShock 2 multiplayer, you not only have pistols but can also use supernatural plasmids to start fires, shoot electric shocks, or unleash freezing cold on someone.

BioShock 2 offers a combination of the special story and the opportunity to play in the game world with or against other players. It's a combination of the best of both worlds!
