Pokémon Blue is one of the first games in the Pokémon series and was released in 1996 in Japan and in 1998 in Europe and the US. The game was released exclusively for the Game Boy and, together with Pokémon Red, was a pioneer in the RPG genre, introducing the now iconic Pokémon franchise.

In Pokémon Blue, you travel through the Kanto region as a young Pokémon Trainer. Your goal is to earn all 8 Gym Badges, defeat the Elite Four, and achieve the title of Pokémon Champion. At the same time, you collect and train Pokémon to catch all 151 original species and fulfill the legendary slogan “Gotta Catch ’Em All!”
