Metroid Fusion is an action-adventure game developed by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. You play as Samus Aran, who, after an infection with the X parasite, is saved by a dose of metroid DNA. The game is set on the SR388 space station, where Samus must evade a deadly clone of herself – the SA-X – while investigating the mystery of the parasitic infection. Metroid Fusion has a linear structure but offers an intense story, exciting boss fights, and classic Metroid gameplay in handheld format.

1. First Metroid with an extensive story:
   Metroid Fusion was the first game in the series where Samus has an internal monologue and the plot is fleshed out through text and NPC communication.
2. The SA-X introduces survival horror elements:
   The SA-X, a clone of Samus with her full equipment, hunts you throughout the game and provides terrifying confrontations, unseen in previous Metroid titles.
3. Connectable with Metroid Prime:
   Players could connect Metroid Fusion to Metroid Prime on the GameCube via a link cable to unlock a new suit and play the original Metroid game.
