Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath

Product description:

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is a unique blend of first-person shooter, third-person action, and western adventure, set in the bizarre and satirical Oddworld universe. You play as the Stranger, a mysterious bounty hunter with a secret, who earns money by capturing outlaws dead or alive using his biological weapons. The game stands out with its original setting, innovative gameplay, and a strong story with an unexpected twist.

Three interesting facts:

1. Live ammo – literally
The Stranger doesn't use standard ammunition, but instead fires small living creatures like stinging wasps, explosive mice, or sticky spider beasts from his crossbow. Each “ammo” has unique properties, allowing for creative tactics during combat.
2. Two playstyles in one game
You seamlessly switch between third-person (for running, platforming, and melee attacks) and first-person (for precise shooting). This hybrid system was rare and innovative in 2005, making the gameplay particularly dynamic.
3. A story with surprising depth
What begins as a gritty hunt for fugitives turns midway into an emotionally charged story with social themes such as exploitation, ecology, and identity — something the Oddworld series is known for.
