Saints Row is an open-world action game set in the fictional city of Stilwater, where street gangs fight for power and territory. You play an unnamed protagonist who coincidentally gets caught in the middle of a gang war and joins the 3rd Street Saints. From that moment on, you work your way up within the organization, taking over districts and fighting rival gangs in a city full of chaos, crime, and corruption.

The gameplay offers complete freedom to explore the city, steal vehicles, use weapons, and complete missions at your own pace. The game combines brutal action, a gritty atmosphere, and satire with RPG elements such as customizable characters and reputation systems.

• Xbox 360 exclusive: The first Saints Row was developed exclusively for the Xbox 360 and was one of the first open-world games on the platform.
• Inspired by GTA, with its own twist: Although the game shares many elements with Grand Theft Auto, Saints Row placed more emphasis on gang wars, character customization, and criminal hierarchy.
• Real-time character creator: Players could fully customize their character at the beginning of the game, which was quite rare for the genre in 2006.
