Need for Speed: Rivals lets you choose between two sides of the law: illegal street racer or police officer. As a racer, you try to gain fame through stunts, escapes, and speed, while as an officer, you hunt down offenders with special weapons and intercept technology.

The game takes place in the vast open world of Redview County, featuring dynamic weather conditions, a day-night cycle, and intense pursuits. Players can seamlessly switch between single-player and multiplayer via the AllDrive system, allowing other players to unexpectedly appear in your game world.
