The game is set in the world of Haskilia, a realm torn apart by dark forces. You control a group of four heroes — each with unique fighting styles, magic, and weapons — in a story full of magic, technology, and betrayal. With its mix of real-time action, party management, and JRPG influences, Sudeki was a standout title in the Xbox lineup.

1. Real-time combat with direct control
   Unlike many RPGs of its time, Sudeki allows you to directly engage in combat with combos, magic, and weapons — each character controllable in third- or first-person (depending on their fighting style).
2. Visually daring with Eastern influences
   Although created by a British studio (Climax Group), the visual style is heavily inspired by Japanese anime and fantasy — a conscious choice to make it stand out among Western RPGs.
3. Originally intended to be multiplatform, but became an Xbox exclusive
   Originally planned for multiple consoles, Sudeki ultimately became an Xbox exclusive because Microsoft picked up the project and provided extra budget to make it a "showcase RPG" for the platform.
