FIFA 16 brings more balance and realism to the football experience. This edition introduces women's teams for the first time and offers new gameplay mechanics to make defending and midfield play more important. With thousands of licensed players, clubs, and competitions worldwide, FIFA 16 is one of the most complete football games of its time.

Although the Xbox 360 version technically differs from the versions on Xbox One and PS4 (no Frostbite engine, more limited animations), it still offers a solid package with career mode, tournaments, local multiplayer, and FIFA Ultimate Team.

Facts:

• Introduction of women's teams: For the first time in FIFA history, players could choose from 12 national women's teams, including Germany, the US, and England. This was a big step towards inclusion within the series.
• No major engine upgrade on Xbox 360: The Ignite engine (used on Xbox One) was not applied to Xbox 360, resulting in less refined gameplay, animations, and graphics. However, the game still contained almost all core modes.
• Training in career mode: A new addition was the ability to train players individually between matches, allowing you to develop young talents and increase their value.
• “No Touch Dribbling”: Inspired by Lionel Messi, a new dribbling mechanism was added allowing players to accelerate, decelerate, and make movements without directly touching the ball.
• Ultimate Team Draft (FUT Draft): The Draft mode was introduced in FUT: players assembled a team through random card choices and tried to win as many matches as possible with that selection.
• New commentary material: In the English version, Martin Tyler and Alan Smith returned, with updated commentary and reactions to new elements such as women's teams and Draft mode.
• Tighter defending: EA implemented gameplay changes to make defending less frustrating and more positioning-based. Sliding tackles, interceptions, and formations felt slightly more realistic as a result.
