You choose from three different mercenaries — each with unique skills — and carry out missions for various factions in a fictional version of North Korea. Everything is destructible, everything is bribable, and everything revolves around your choices. No rules, just contracts.

   Virtually everything in the world of Mercenaries can be blown up or torn down — from bridges and buildings to tanks and helicopters. The game was ahead of its time in terms of destructive environments and delivered pure sandbox chaos.
2. “Deck of 52” targets
   You are tasked with eliminating 52 targets, divided like playing cards: from kings to jacks. Each target has its own location, behavior, and reward, giving you freedom in how and when you strike.
3. Made by Pandemic Studios
   The developer behind Mercenaries was also responsible for other beloved titles such as Star Wars: Battlefront and Destroy All Humans! Their distinctive style of large play spaces and free-form approach is also evident here.
