   TimeSplitters 2 was developed by Free Radical Design, a studio founded by former Rare developers who previously worked on GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark. The influence is clearly noticeable in the level structure and controls.

   Each level is set in a different era with matching weapons, music, and environments. For example, you might fight in 1930s Chicago, a futuristic spaceship, or a zombie-infested 1990s village.
3. Multiplayer and level editor ahead of their time
   The local multiplayer offers countless modes, characters, and maps, including bot support. In addition, the game featured an extensive level editor that allowed players to build their own maps – a rare feature for consoles at the time.
