Product Description:

Enchanted Arms is a turn-based JRPG developed by FromSoftware and released by Ubisoft on PS3 in 2007 (Europe). You control a team of four characters through strategic grid-based battles, combining ranged and melee attacks with ether magic. The setting varies from the golem-populated streets of Yokohama to legends in London and Kyoto, with active use of motion sensors (Sixaxis) and a mix of cutscenes and gameplay in HD.

3 interesting facts:

  1. Grid-based tactics with Vitality system: Battles take place on a two-panel grid. Each character consumes Vitality during battles; the faster you win, the more you save, making battles strategically intense.

  2. Over 130 golems to collect: The game features over 130 unique golem types (30 of which are PS3 exclusive) that you can unlock via essences and materials — partly comparable to a monster-collecting mechanic.

  3. First Japanese RPG on PS3 in the West:
    Enchanted Arms was one of the first Japanese role-playing games released on the PlayStation 3 outside of Japan. It served as an early showcase of HD graphics, fully voiced dialogue (also in English), and was intended to offer JRPG fans a modern experience on next-gen hardware — even before larger titles like Final Fantasy XIII appeared.
