Dead Space is a survival horror third-person shooter developed by EA Redwood Shores (later Visceral Games). You play as Isaac Clarke, an engineer sent with a small team to the USG Ishimura, a giant mining vessel that has gone silent. It soon turns out the ship is overrun by Necromorphs—hideous mutated corpses that can only be stopped by dismembering them. With minimal HUD, claustrophobic corridors, and oppressive silence, Dead Space offers an intense horror experience in space.
