“Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness” is a role-playing game (RPG) for the Nintendo GameCube, released in 2005. It is a sequel to Pokémon Colosseum and takes place in the Orre region. Players take on the role of a new hero, a boy named Michael, who must face off against the shadowy organization Team Cipher. The game introduces a new type of Pokémon called “Shadow Pokémon,” which are corrupted and must be “purified” by the player. In addition to catching Pokémon and battling trainers, players can also participate in a story-driven adventure focused on rescuing these Shadow Pokémon.
